Stops with water still in the drum
Drain pump, drain hose or the door lock. The most common Forney washer call.
A washer that stops mid-cycle with a drum full of water is the call I get most on Forney weekends. I am Ramez, owner of R3M Appliance Repair. Most of these are a drain pump or a door lock, both of which I carry for Samsung, LG, Whirlpool and Maytag, and both of which are usually a same-visit repair.
Front-load washers will not spin until they have drained and the door has locked. So a machine that stops with water in it is nearly always one of three things: a drain pump with a sock or a coin in the impeller, a kinked or clogged drain hose, or a door lock that is no longer reporting closed. The error code on the display usually narrows it to one of those before I even open the panel.
Newer Forney homes tend to have the laundry upstairs, which adds a second reason to take a leak seriously: water from a second-floor washer finds the ceiling below it. If a washer is leaking, shut off the supply valves and call rather than running one more load.
Drain pump, drain hose or the door lock. The most common Forney washer call.
Usually follows a drain fault. Sometimes the lid switch on a top-loader or worn drum bearings.
Samsung and LG codes point straight at the part. Tell me the code on the phone and I can bring it.
Door boot, drain pump housing or a hose connection. Shut the supply off and call.
Levelling and feet first, then suspension rods or shock absorbers.
Door gasket and detergent drawer. I clean them and show you how to keep it from returning.
LG and Samsung washers are usually a drain pump or door lock when they throw a code. Whirlpool and Maytag washers most often need a drain pump or door boot. Electrolux, Frigidaire, GE, Bosch and Speed Queen too, front-load and top-load.

Do not run another cycle. That is a drain pump, drain hose or door lock nine times out of ten, and running it again just moves water onto the floor. Call and I will talk you through shutting it down safely until I get there.
Tell me the code when you call. Samsung and LG codes point at the part directly, so I can usually bring the right one with me and finish in a single visit instead of two.
Forney is about 20 minutes from Rockwall and I am out there several times a week. A morning call is usually same-day. I also take weekend appointments by request, which is when most washer calls happen.
A drain pump, door lock, hose or boot on a machine under about ten years old is worth it comfortably. Worn drum bearings on an older washer often are not, and I will tell you that straight rather than take the job.
No, I work in upstairs laundry rooms all the time in Forney. It only matters for leaks, where water reaches the ceiling below, so those calls get treated as urgent.
