Runs but no heat
Heating element, thermal fuse or thermostat. I test all three before replacing anything.
A dryer that runs but never gets hot is the call I take most often in Forney. I am Ramez, owner of R3M Appliance Repair, and I am out on FM 548 and US 80 several times a week for exactly this. Most no-heat dryers are a heating element or a thermal fuse, and I carry both on the truck for Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, GE and Maytag.
A blocked vent is usually the real cause. Many Forney homes in Devonshire, Windmill Farms and Gateway Parks have a long vent run from an interior laundry room out to the roof or the side wall. Lint packs into that run over the years, heat cannot escape, and the thermal fuse blows to protect the machine. Replace the fuse without clearing the vent and it blows again within weeks.
That is why I check airflow on every no-heat call before I quote a part. It also matters for a reason beyond the repair: a restricted dryer vent is a genuine fire risk, and it is the one thing I will tell you to fix even if you decide not to replace anything else.

Almost always airflow, not the dryer. Vent run, lint trap housing or a crushed transition hose.
Belt, idler pulley or motor. The belt is a common and inexpensive fix if caught early.
Drum support rollers or the idler pulley. Cheap parts, but they damage the drum if ignored.
The thermal fuse doing its job because of overheating. Fix the cause, not just the fuse.
Stop using it and call. Usually lint against the element, and it needs looking at today.
Samsung dryers commonly need a heating element or thermostat. LG dryers are usually the same element. Whirlpool and Maytag dryers most often need an element, a thermal fuse or a belt. Electric and gas both.

On most calls, yes. Forney is about 20 minutes from Rockwall and I am out that way several times a week. Call in the morning and I can usually be there the same day; an afternoon call typically gets the first slot the next morning.
I diagnose first and give you a clear price before any work starts. A heating element or thermal fuse is at the lower end; a motor or control board costs more. You hear the number before I touch anything, and there is nothing added afterward.
Usually not. That is nearly always a restricted vent, not a failed part. I check the airflow first, because replacing a heating element on a blocked vent just means you call me again in a month.
If the dryer is under about ten years old and the fault is an element, fuse, belt or thermostat, repair is almost always the better money. If it needs a motor and a drum on a fifteen-year-old machine, I will tell you to replace it. I would rather lose the job than sell you a bad repair.
Yes. Devonshire, Windmill Farms, Fox Hollow, Gateway Parks, Travis Ranch, Heartland, Talty and downtown Forney are all in my regular route.
